1. Overview
mtverse respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. This DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) policy explains how copyright holders can report content they believe infringes their rights, and how we respond to valid takedown notices. We act on clear, properly substantiated notices promptly and in accordance with applicable law.
2. Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe that any content on mtverse (including AI prompts, prompt preview images, or UI source code) infringes a copyright you own or control, you may submit a takedown notice to our designated copyright agent. To be effective under the DMCA, your notice must include the items below. Incomplete notices may delay processing.
- Physical or electronic signature: A signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the work: A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. If multiple works are involved, please list each one separately.
- Identification of the material: The exact URL or location on mtverse where the allegedly infringing material is located. Without a specific URL we may not be able to act.
- Contact information: Your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address so we can reach you with questions or updates.
- Good-faith statement: A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Accuracy statement: A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
3. Designated Copyright Agent
Send all DMCA notices to our designated copyright agent. We aim to acknowledge receipt within two business days. Email is the fastest and preferred channel; please include "DMCA Notice" in the subject line.
- Email: copyright@mtverse.dev (replace with your monitored inbox)
- Subject line: DMCA Notice — mtverse
- Mail: mtverse Legal, Attn: Copyright Agent, [Your Business Address]
4. Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed in error or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification. A valid counter-notification must include your physical or electronic signature, identification of the removed material and its location before removal, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed in error, your consent to local jurisdiction, and your contact information. We will share counter-notifications with the original complainant and may restore the content within 10-14 business days unless we receive notice that legal action has been filed.
5. Repeat Infringers
We maintain a policy of terminating accounts and access for users who are determined to be repeat infringers. A "repeat infringer" is a user who has had more than two valid takedown notices upheld against them within a 12-month period. We also reserve the right to remove access for a single egregious infringement.
6. Bad-Faith Notices
Submitting a false or misleading DMCA notice may expose you to legal liability, including damages under Section 512(f) of the DMCA. Please make sure your notice is accurate and made in good faith before submitting it. We may decline to act on notices that are clearly frivolous, abusive, or that fail to meet the statutory requirements.
7. Response Time
We process valid DMCA notices within five business days of receipt. Counter-notifications are processed within ten business days. Complex cases that require additional review or that involve disputes about ownership may take longer; we will keep both parties informed of status updates as the review progresses.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this DMCA policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, our processes, or our service. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of mtverse after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
